Winter plays havoc with my skin. The clash of central heating and cold weather causes my eczema to flare up, my lips to chap and leaves my complexion looking somewhat lacklustre. In an attempt to counteract this I tend to opt for richer and heavier moisturisers that work to combat the cold, harsh elements.
Summer, however, is a totally different story. As soon as the sun comes out to play I notice my eczema fading and the annoying dry patches clearing up. My intense moisturisers then seem too heavy for my skin and come the warmer season I’m on the lookout for an equally effective alternative to suit a summer complexion.
When Evolve Organic Beauty dropped me a line last week to announce that they’d launched a new product for summer I was excited to find out more. When asked if I would like to try it, I jumped at the chance. Having previously tested their Radiant Glow Organic Face Mask and Liquid Crystal Micellic Cleanser (one of the most effective cleansers I’ve ever used) I couldn’t wait to sample this brand new treat!
The new Daily Defence Moisture Mist is suitable for all skin types and made with African Moringa Peptides which protect skin cells from pollutants and purify the skin; Hydraulic Acid which holds up to 1000 times its weight in water and helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, making the skin look younger with an improved skin tone; and Prickly Pear, an organic Mexican cactuses’ elixir.
I applied a light spray over my face after cleansing and before moisturising every morning and night. The first thing I noticed was how instantly cooling and refreshing it felt. The results were immediate and after 3 days I noticed my skin was looking more even and toned and my complexion much brighter.
I loved this product and happy to say I’ve found my perfect summer skincare essential. It can also be used throughout the day over make-up, ideal for those stuck in stuffy offices, during a long flight or just as a refreshing pick-me-up.
The Daily Defense Moisture Mist is available from Evolve Organic Beauty priced at £10.00 for a 30ML bottle.
